(Please Note: detailed information will be provided in your parent handbook provided for your convenience on your first day of dance class)
- Registration: Students must register and pay their tuition fees + registration fees in advance on the 1st of the month (or at time of enrollment) to reserve their spot in class. Registration is typically done online or in-person at the studio.
- Attendance: As with any program, steady attendance is a requirement for success. Failure to meet such requirements can lead to adjustments in level. Any student who misses repeatedly without proper attempts of communication/makeup may be required to forfeit their class space. If a student is unable to attend a class, they should notify the studio in advance, click HERE to complete the absentee form. Missed classes will not be refunded.
- Dress code: Students are expected to follow the dress code for their particular class. This typically includes proper dance shoes, tights, leotards, and hair tied back in a neat bun.
- Behavior: Students are expected to behave respectfully towards their teachers and fellow classmates. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the class or the studio.
- Student safety: The studio will take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of its students, including providing qualified instructors, appropriate equipment, and maintaining a clean and safe facility.
- Photography & videography: Parents are not allowed to take photos or videos of their child's class without permission from the studio or the Instructor. The studio may also arrange for professional photos or videos of performances.
- Payment: Tuition fees are due on a on the 1st of the month, failure to pay by the 5th will result in a $25 late fee. A similar Fee of $35 is charged for NFS/Declined Charges & Returned Checks. Late payments may result in a late fee or suspension from class.
- Lobby/Studio Etiquette: Please do not let children stand on the lobby chairs or the couch. We do not want anyone to fall and get hurt. Also, as a safety precaution, children are not allowed behind the front desk, in the storage or storage areas/closet, or in the back rooms. If your child would like a coloring sheet to keep them occupied, please ask the front desk admin or your dancer’s instructor and they will provide them with a coloring sheet and crayons. Please help us reinforce respect and proper behavior to your children while in the dance studio. Running and horseplay is strictly prohibited.
- Use of Parent Portal/Communication: Guardians are responsible for communicating absences, late arrivals etc; to the dance studio director or instructor through parent portal or email only. Please do not attempt to contact teachers or choreographers at home. All contact must be made through the school office, or studio software. The use of text, direct message, social media or personal avenues will no longer be accepted.
- Inclement Weather Policy: If classes are canceled due to inclement weather your account will not be credited, however you may take a make-up class within 30 days of the canceled class. You may contact the front office to check about the status of closure. We will also send an email, and post on social media if classes are canceled. We will make our final decision of any closure no later than 2pm.
- Dress Code Policy: Proper dancewear and shoes are a must in every class/rehearsal. Street shoes ie. ANY shoes worn outside are strictly prohibited on the dance floors. Hip Hop/Step dancers must wear the designated dance shoes specified by the instructor.
- Personal Property & Electronic Devices Dance bags must be kept in the designated area. Cell phones, other devices, toys, and any other goods from home are not permitted in the studios. For teens, cell phones must be on silent and put away in a dance bag outside the studio for the duration of class. The studio and its staff are not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Anything left in the studio’s after class will be placed in the lost and found. Please keep track of all items. Make sure all dance shoes are labeled on the inside with the students name as shoes are most frequently lost or mixed up among dancers.
